At the age of ten Nanette's early introduction into spirit communication was through general interest of both her parents in the paranormal and her fathers' natural mediumship. As a teenager she was allowed to observe psychic phenomena of various descriptions in Britain and other ancient countries, particularly in India, the land of her birth. By the age of twenty, being satiated by phenomena she needed different food for thought and became a theosophist and eagerly studied it's tenets; the belief in the brotherhood of man; comparative religions and reincarnation.
